Michaela Barochova is a jeweler and mixed-media artist based in London, born in Czech Republic. Metal, textiles and wood are her favourite materials.

She studied printmaking and graphic design at Vaclav Hollar College of Art in Prague and later earned a BA in jewellery design at Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

After graduation, she started working for a jeweller Klara Sipkova and participated on designing a significant light glass object specially created for the atrium of the Aspira Business Centre in Prague. In 2018, she moved to London for a work internship at K2 Academy of Contemporary Jewellery, where she also joined a jewellery course.

In 2022, she launched her jewellery brand, Numinous, featuring unique textures and designs inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test.

Her jewellery was featured at Olubiyi Thomas' fashion show AW23 'Nigerian Gothic', as part of London Fashion Week 2023. She also hand-embroidered some of the clothes for his new collection. Their collaboration extended to her hand-embroidering a 2x3-meter tapestry ‘Blood Line’, specially designed for Olubiyi Thomas' 'Intersectional Family' installation at the 'Tartan' exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in Dundee.

Together with Karolina Brodnicka, Out Of Order jewellery, she created a jewellery collection which was launched at the 'House of Hunter' event at Sketch London in May 2023.
